Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop quantum algorithms optimized for real-world business problems
- Collaborate with global research institutions on quantum standards
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and partnerships
- Present findings at premier conferences (IEEE Quantum Week, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing or advanced algorithm development
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Experience securing federal or corporate R&D grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
