Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum neural networks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum chip-AI integration
- Author peer-reviewed research on quantum-AI convergence
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Physics (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years implementing quantum algorithms on IBM/Google quantum processors
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals on quantum-AI topics
- Expertise in Python, Qiskit, and TensorFlow Quantum
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Strong background in theoretical computer science
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for federal funding
