Responsibilities
- Test Planning: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Testing Execution: Perform both manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications to ensure functionality and usability.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects accurately in JIRA, working closely with developers to reproduce and validate fixes.
- Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- API Testing: Utilize Postman or similar tools to validate API endpoints and data integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test logs and reports, providing clear insights into the quality status of deliverables.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers and developers to understand requirements and provide quality assurance expertise throughout the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) Testing.
- Automation: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency in using defect tracking tools like JIRA.
