Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and scripts to identify software defects and anomalies accurately.
- Document detailed bug reports and track issues through to resolution using JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure high software quality and a seamless user experience.
- Perform functional, regression, and cross-browser testing on web and mobile applications.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and agile retrospectives.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans and test data sets.
- Perform sanity testing on builds released by the development team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot even minor inconsistencies in code or design.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting.
- Willingness to learn new testing tools and technologies quickly.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
