Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and updates.
- Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and verify defects using JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps and severity assessments to developers.
- Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact across software releases.
- Automated Testing: Assist in maintaining and executing automated test suites using Selenium or Cypress to speed up the QA process.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and resolve critical issues efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate test logs, metrics, and reporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in manual software testing and Quality Assurance.
- Methodology: Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database verification; familiarity with automation tools (Selenium/Cypress) is a strong plus.
- Tools: Expert knowledge of bug tracking tools like Jira, Trello, or Zephyr.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical findings clearly.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
