Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain: Architect and maintain scalable web applications and APIs focused on equity options data processing.
- Algorithm Optimization: Collaborate with data scientists to optimize algorithms for real-time market analysis and equity option pricing.
- UI/UX Enhancement: Improve user interfaces to ensure seamless interaction for traders analyzing complex equity options strategies.
- Testing & QA: Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure system reliability and data accuracy in financial reporting.
- Code Review: Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and adherence to industry security standards.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for internal stakeholders and third-party integrators.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, React, and SQL. Experience with financial data APIs is a plus.
- Equity Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives trading concepts.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to a part-time schedule (e.g., 20-30 hours per week) with flexibility for occasional overtime during market events.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex systems and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
