Responsibilities
- Design, test, and refine prompts for large language models to achieve desired outputs
- Develop reusable prompt templates and frameworks for diverse AI applications
- Analyze model performance metrics to iterate and improve prompt effectiveness
- Document prompt engineering best practices and create knowledge repositories
- Collaborate with data scientists to align prompts with training objectives
- Conduct A/B testing of prompt variations to optimize performance
- Stay current with emerging AI techniques and industry benchmarks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of prompt engineering or NLP experience
- Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong understanding of language model architectures (GPT, BERT, etc.)
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt optimization projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks and bias mitigation
