Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless network systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware.
- Monitor network performance and security logs to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Assist in the physical installation and termination of network cabling (Cat6, fiber optics).
- Respond to help desk tickets and client inquiries regarding connectivity and network accessibility.
- Document network configurations, changes, and inventory using ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with the senior IT team to implement new network policies and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly.
- Valid driverβs license (required for occasional on-site client visits).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
