Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Pricing Models: Architect and code sophisticated Monte Carlo simulation and Black-Scholes models for equity options valuation.
- Optimize Performance: Identify bottlenecks in legacy code and refactor high-frequency trading systems to ensure sub-millisecond latency.
- Data Integration: Design APIs to ingest market data feeds from various exchanges, ensuring data integrity and real-time synchronization.
- Algorithmic Enhancements: Research and implement advanced numerical methods to improve the accuracy and speed of option pricing algorithms.
- Collaborative Debugging: Work closely with quantitative analysts and data scientists to translate mathematical models into production-ready software.
- System Security: Implement rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive financial data and trading algorithms.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust with a deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, derivatives, and stochastic calculus concepts.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, specifically within the fintech or financial modeling sectors.
- Availability: Reliable availability for 20-30 hours per week, preferably during core business hours.
- Tools: Familiarity with SQL databases, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
