We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Part-Time Data Analyst to join our innovative team at Apex Data Systems.
While our primary hub is located in Georgia, we are actively recruiting talent from across the region. We offer Relocation Assistance to qualified candidates moving from Raleigh, NC, or other areas to join us in Atlanta. In this position, you will be responsible for translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and develop interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to visualize key performance indicators.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and executive summaries for stakeholders, highlighting critical insights and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and define data needs.
- SQL & Database Management: Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from our relational databases.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data workflows and reporting processes for increased efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a part-time or contract capacity.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) and Python or R for data manipulation.
- Visualization: Expert knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Excel: Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Georgia with our relocation assistance package or work remotely from Raleigh, NC.
