Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents according to established playbooks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and hardening measures.
- Document security incidents and prepare reports for management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week) with a focus on availability during US business hours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
