Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to potential security breaches in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure business continuity during cyber-attacks.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal cybersecurity regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the IT team to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with security tools and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Ability to work part-time hours (e.g., 20-30 hours per week) with potential for on-call availability.
