Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls and firewalls.
- Investigate and document security incidents, providing detailed reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations, including NIST and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Current CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security or incident response.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
