Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weak points.
- Manage and configure firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Generate and present detailed security reports to management.
- Collaborate with IT staff to implement patches and security updates.
- Assist in the development of security awareness training materials for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
