Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts with the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2).
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and access controls.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Demonstrated experience with firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high reliability.
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence and incident response procedures.
