Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to detect potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Manage and configure firewall rules to secure network perimeters.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents according to established incident response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and local data protection regulations.
- Generate and present detailed security reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common security protocols.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Experience with tools like Splunk, FireEye, or CrowdStrike.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
