Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and security trends through continuous learning
- Assist in compliance audits for frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection/analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (CISSP preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and Windows/Linux environments
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid US driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
