Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Support the Incident Response team by investigating suspicious activities and providing remediation recommendations.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training for internal employees.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Perform daily audits of network traffic logs and access controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in security tools including Wireshark, Nmap, and Metasploit.
- Experience with log analysis and SIEM technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing detailed reports.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
