Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events on SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel) for anomalies and potential intrusions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support for internal systems.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents in accordance with incident response protocols.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN appliances to ensure network integrity.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations through regular audits.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to junior staff and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SOC (Security Operations Center) environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Ability to work independently and remotely during designated hours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
