Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to identify potential threats and anomalies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents according to established protocols.
- Document security findings, incident reports, and remediation steps accurately.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement robust security patches and configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in information security or a related discipline.
- Certification: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Malware, DDoS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work approximately 20-25 hours per week, including potential on-call rotation.
