Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and coordinate response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, playbooks)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, NIST)
- Provide security awareness training to non-technical staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM operation
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Familiarity with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active or eligible for DoD Secret clearance preferred
