Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Document security incidents and remediation procedures in compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure adherence to NIST and CIS standards
- Assist in developing incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus)
- Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS Security, Azure Sentinel)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
