We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst to support our mission of protecting enterprise assets from evolving cyber threats. Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM (Splunk/QRadar) dashboards and alerts for suspicious activities and potential intrusions.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and perform risk assessments on internal systems.
- Respond to security incidents and tickets in a timely manner, documenting all actions taken.
- Support the implementation of security patches and software updates across the network.
- Assist in the development and testing of incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with IT operations to ensure secure configuration of servers, firewalls, and VPNs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with SOC operations and incident response methodologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Proficiency in using security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Snort).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and encryption standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
