Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze security alerts and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Implement security controls and maintain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security posture through proactive measures
- Document security procedures and create incident response playbooks
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
