Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Manage and apply security patches and software updates across systems.
- Investigate and document security incidents and breaches.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with the full-time team on threat intelligence analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, and common threat vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
