Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Incident response coordination and documentation of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance audits for frameworks like NIST and HIPAA
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass background check
