Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate suspicious activities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Incident response coordination including documentation and mitigation of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence reports and correlate with internal security events
- Perform security audits and compliance checks against industry standards (NIST, CIS)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related IT security role
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (CISSP, CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanning tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
