Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Regular security audits and compliance reporting
- Investigate security incidents and forensic analysis
- Stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and threat hunting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site visits
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
