Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze network traffic for anomalies
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory changes (NIST, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Participate in security awareness training for internal staff
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and OS platforms (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) a plus
