Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms 24/7 to identify and investigate potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation measures
- Analyze network traffic logs using Wireshark and other diagnostic tools
- Prepare executive-level security reports and threat intelligence summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid US driver's license for occasional client site visits
