Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Incident response coordination including threat containment and remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Perform forensic analysis during security incidents
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 2+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience (internships accepted)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence frameworks
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation
