Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support for internal networks.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the forensic analysis of breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to recommend security improvements and patches.
Qualifications
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and remotely during designated shift hours.
