Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems handling 10M+ daily transactions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions for microservices in Kubernetes
- Optimize database queries and API performance for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Debug and resolve critical production issues during night shift coverage
- Contribute to open-source projects and technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years experience with Python, Go, or Java in production environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and serverless architectures
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Proven track record in building RESTful APIs and event-driven systems
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM PST)
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) strongly preferred
