Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services supporting critical infrastructure
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for night shift deployment workflows
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones to resolve production issues
- Optimize database queries and system architecture for 99.99% uptime
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during overnight rotations
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies during evening stand-ups and retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching strategies
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills for production troubleshooting
