Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP and Kubernetes
- Lead development of microservices APIs in Go and Python with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Collaborate with APAC and EMEA teams during overlapping business hours
- Optimize system performance and implement CI/CD pipelines for night shift deployments
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on the night shift team
- Develop real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka and Spark
- Contribute to open-source projects and present quarterly tech talks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in production-level software development
- Expertise in at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, or Java)
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud architecture
- Proven experience leading projects with global cross-functional teams
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical certifications
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Portfolio demonstrating contributions to complex systems or open-source projects
