Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance cloud-native applications using Java, Python, and AWS services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement microservices architecture and DevOps pipelines
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during night shift rotations
- Optimize system performance through continuous testing and monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana
- Contribute to CI/CD automation using Jenkins and Terraform infrastructure-as-code
- Document technical specifications and create comprehensive API documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and serverless architectures
- Expertise in RESTful API design and database optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Proven ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with distributed systems
