Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems and generate detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement proactive security measures
- Stay current with emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence initiatives
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Document security protocols and provide training for junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- Strong expertise in SIEM tools, threat detection, and forensic methodologies
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+) preferred
- Proficiency with network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and NIST frameworks
