As a Network Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our network systems. You will work closely with our senior engineers to implement network solutions, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the hardware that keeps our business connected.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine network audits and maintenance to ensure system reliability and security compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, and software conflicts efficiently.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades, including cabling infrastructure and wireless access point deployments.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures to maintain accurate technical records.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide technical support to end-users regarding network access and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Valid certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or A+ are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments, including server rooms.
