Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on network hardware and cabling systems.
- Document network configurations, topology changes, and operational procedures accurately.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and service tickets in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards (TIA/EIA).
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
- 2+ years of professional experience in network installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with fiber optics and structured cabling (Cat6, fiber) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
