Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) for enterprise clients.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and security breaches efficiently.
- Cabling & Splicing: Perform fiber optic termination, copper cabling (Cat6), and rack-and-stack server configurations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory logs, and change management records.
- Security: Configure and monitor firewalls, VPNs, and access control systems to ensure data integrity.
- Support: Provide technical support for network-related incidents and assist junior staff with complex tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/industry experience).
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco IOS/Juniper OS, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or technical support.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in server rooms, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal communication skills.
