Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless network hardware and cabling.
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity failures and slow speeds.
- Manage and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Conduct network security audits and implement necessary patches and updates.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network usage and troubleshooting.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for future reference.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring firewalls and implementing network security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within the Lexington area.
