Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other data communications systems.
- Perform regular network audits to ensure security compliance and optimal performance.
- Configure and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve network connectivity issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the physical installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling (Cat6, Fiber).
- Monitor network traffic and identify potential security vulnerabilities or bottlenecks.
- Document all network changes and configurations accurately for future reference.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with network management tools and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including server rooms and field locations.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
