Responsibilities
- Network Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless networks for new and existing clients.
- Hardware Management: Perform regular inspections of servers, routers, switches, and cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Security Implementation: Assist in configuring firewalls and VPNs to protect network data integrity and client security.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, downtime, and hardware failures with minimal disruption.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and change logs for audit and troubleshooting purposes.
- Cabling & Physical Infrastructure: Execute structured cabling projects, including fiber and copper, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in network administration or IT support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco IOS, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLAN configuration.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and technical teams effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various environments, including server rooms and construction sites, requiring lifting and climbing.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot hardware and software network issues efficiently.
