Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network outages using Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nagios
- Implement and manage VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL) for secure remote access
- Perform network capacity planning and bandwidth optimization
- Document network topology changes and update Visio diagrams
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premises infrastructure
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network issues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA/CCNP certification required (CCIE preferred)
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong background in network security protocols (ACLs, IPSec)
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud)
- Ability to work flexible hours for critical incident response
- Valid Louisiana driver's license for on-site visits
