Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Perform routine network audits, network documentation, and reporting.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently.
- Configure firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal security and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new network solutions.
- Conduct cable management and fiber optic installation/termination.
- Maintain inventory of network hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification such as CCNA, Network+, or CCNP is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in network administration or engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
- Physical stamina for cabling and field work.
