Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Perform cable termination and management for both copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and implement security measures to prevent breaches.
- Collaborate with the IT team to upgrade legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Respond to and resolve network outages and service tickets in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits of network hardware and software to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the deployment of VoIP systems and remote access solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as CCNA, Network+, or CCNP is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or field technician roles.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching protocols.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required for occasional field work.
