Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other data communications systems.
- Perform routine network troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware or software issues efficiently.
- Assist in the design and deployment of network infrastructure upgrades and security protocols.
- Manage and monitor network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and speed for all users.
- Document network topology, configurations, and changes for compliance and future reference.
- Respond to help desk tickets related to network connectivity and security breaches.
- Collaborate with system administrators to integrate new hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Network Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Valid certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to perform cabling tasks and occasional travel to client sites.
- Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical staff and management.
