Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support hardware/software deployments
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for network-related problems
- Conduct regular network audits and recommend optimization strategies
- Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid Florida driver's license for occasional on-site visits
