Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) hardware.
- Perform physical cabling tasks, including fiber and copper installation, termination, and labeling.
- Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement network security protocols and upgrades.
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and cabling standards (TIA/EIA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to perform cabling tasks in office environments and server rooms.
- Valid Driver's License for occasional off-site deployments.
