Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
- Perform routine network maintenance, including patch management and firmware updates, to ensure system availability and security.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to identify and resolve bottlenecks or outages quickly.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades, including new switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity, VPN access, and hardware peripherals.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to enforce network policies and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Valid industry certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar.
- Proven work experience (2-5 years) in network administration, support, or systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with non-technical and technical staff.
